Training Options
K9 Compass offers four training options which are designed for dogs with minimal behavior issues (e.g., jumping, pulling on-leash, barking, reactivity, door rushing, hyperactivity, nervousness, overall manners, etc.). These programs are:
Private Obedience Sessions
Foundational & Lifestyle Training Program
Off-Leash Training Program
A La Carte Training Program
(Descriptions and pricing are outlined below).
If you are experiencing more serious behavior issues (e.g., aggression to humans and/or other dogs, food/resource guarding, severe fear issues, intense reactivity, etc.) please reach out to me so we can discuss your dog's behavior OR to set up a consultation to evaluate their behavior, provide recommendations, and/or develop a customized training plan.
(Description and price of consultation is outlined at the bottom of this page).
The Base - Private Obedience Sessions

During the 5 week, private, hands-on training sessions you will learn:
training techniques and you will develop the skills to work with and teach your dog beginning level obedience (manners, heel, place, sit/stay, down/stay, and recall)
the importance of having a healthy relationship with your dog and what that looks like
how to be the loving leader for your dog

A La Carte Training Program
This training is for a tune-up or fine-tuning; it will be tailored to meet your specific goals or needs. If your dog has completed basic obedience training but you're struggling in one or some areas, or if you simply want your dog's training to remain "fresh," this is the program for you. It may be as little as one private or day training session; or it may be multiple private or day training sessions. The type and length of training is determined by individual needs/wants and the training strategy.
PREREQUISITE: At a minimum, your dog MUST have completed the Foundational & Lifestyle Training Program, completed basic obedience training with me previously, OR your dog’s basic obedience foundation must be demonstrated during a consultation. The consultation fee is $30, which will later be applied to the cost of the training program.
If your dog had not been previously trained by me, a consultation is required for this training program in order to evaluate your dog and to determine and develop a training strategy.
If your dog WAS previously trained by me, a consultation may still be required, but the consultation fee will be waived.
Depending on your goal(s) for training, your dog may be required to have completed the Off-Leash Training Program (in addition to the Foundational & Lifestyle Training Program or equivalent). For example: your goal is to tune-up your dog’s off-leash reliability for recall.
